The “Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area: A Proposal” is divided into three main sections. The first part focuses on Guangzhou outlining a series of recommendations regarding talent introduction, population growth, upgrading industrial structure, improving business environment, as well as other important components of the overall city’s development. The second part offers an international perspective to the development of Greater Bay Area and introduces the examples of other bay areas in the world such as New York Bay Area, San Francisco Bay Area and Tokyo Bay Area. The last part summarizes the main development prospects and challenges of the Greater Bay Area.
